Temporary subsidy on the sale price of liquefied petroleum gas for households

Following the exceptional increase in the price of oil products caused by the current international situation, the government has decided to introduce a temporary reduction in the sale price of liquified petroleum gas 0.20 euro/kg for households using liquefied petroleum gas in tanks (Propane in bulk for household use) to heat their houses.

This measure applies automatically, from 31 October 2022 to 31 December 2024.

How much can I save per year thanks to this state contribution?

Since the state will pay 20 cts/kg incl. VAT, the price increase of propane will be cushioned. The exact financial impact depends on your consumption. For a house with consumption of 4,000 liters of propane per year, the annual saving will be 408 euros.

Due to the current market situation, oil products may still become more expensive for you despite this measure. In this case, however, the impact of such an increase will be cushioned by this measure.
