The Ministry of Economy supports Molecular Plasma Group which has developed a unique technology to optimise the protection of face masks "made in Luxembourg" against COVID-19
On the occasion of a visit to the Technoport in Foetz, the Minister of the Economy, Franz Fayot, signed an agreement on 16 December 2020 with Molecular Plasma Group (MPG) to co-finance the "Virucidal" project for the development and production of innovative surgical masks with virucidal properties.

On 11 December 2020, Franz Fayot, Minister of the Economy, visited Goodyear's new tire facility in Dudelange to see the progress of the tire company's $77 million investment in Luxembourg. Franz Fayot was shown the innovative production process in this highly automated facility before the plant's official opening planned in spring 2021.
